WorkPoint are celebrating the completion of a major export order. The largest electricity supplier in Hong Kong has taken delivery of a major order of AirBenches for use at Black Point Power Station.
The order includes 7 units in a range of sizes with full enclosures for use in the Gas Turbine Repair Workshop for refinishing turbine blades. The customer identified an issue with dust build-up throughout their workshop, and in consultation with WorkPoint determined that the main source of the dust was the blade refinishing process. AirBenches was identified as the optimum solution; rapid delivery and no requirement for complex installation ensured minimal downtime.
While locally manufactured alternative products were available, AirBenches provided a proven solution, minimising the customer’s financial risk. Solid customer references demonstrating success in similar applications built confidence among the project team, and open consultation during the specifying process resolved any concerns among end users prior to purchase.
The supplied AirBenches used WorkPoint’s unique spark filtration process and were based on the standard FP range. The only loser in the procurement process has been WorkPoint’s servicing department as the high reliability of AirBenches means there will probably be no company visits to Hong Kong.
