Metallic Elephant Ltd, based in Colchester, manufacture a range of hot foil printing and stamping equipment from brass.
As a key part of their production process, they linish and polish brass components, by hand sanding, and also using a belt sander. These processes create atmospheric brass dust and Metallic Elephant turned to local supplier AirBench Ltd to solve their dust issue.
Following a site visit and demonstration of AirBench in operation, Metallic Elephant purchased an AirBench FPK189084A; a large downdraught bench with integral kneespace. The belt sander was mounted to the AirBench, leaving ample space for an operator to work on this or hand sand parts while seated.
The team at Metallic Elephant are very happy with their new AirBench, noting that even when set to low airflows extraction was effective.
