MV Composites Utilize AirBench FN to combat Carbon Fibre Dusts

Motorsport Valley Composites is a Warwick based company recognized for UK motorsport and high-performance engineering. They specialise in carbon fibre component manufacturing providing a full service from concept to prototype, to production of high-end tools and components.

MV composites were familiar with AirBench units and in 2023 decided to opt for a FN186784 unit with 1m enclosure and exhaust to the rear for their new dedicated carbon fibre grinding room.

MV composites Director, Mathew Lainsbury, comments below on their current AirBench set up;

‘We are very impressed with the bench in this configuration, having used AirBench’s over the years in the traditional configuration we knew what to expect, however the bench in our install is in a dedicated grinding room so the rear exhaust is a very noticeable improvement to performance. All operators have commented on how well the system performs.’

Our AirBench FN units are great for carbon fiber dust. The entire perforated surface is ventilated giving a large capture zone for the operator to cut and grind the components on providing extraction no matter where you work on the bench surface. This leaves less opportunity for operators not to work within a capture zone which can sometimes be a risk with other forms of Local Exhaust Ventilation.

Our FN AirBenches are all incorporated, meaning the unit comes ready to plug in and use, with fan and appropriate filtration already inside. As described by Mathew above there is easy front filter access for simply maintenance and we can add a wide range of accessories including enclosures to help contain processes even more.
