Commercial and industrial air cleaners are essential in workplace environments to enhance air quality management where there’s a large amount of dust, pollutants, allergens and airborne contaminants. They are used to maintain good air quality in larger workspaces such as factories, manufacturing plants, warehouses, offices, healthcare facilities and various industrial settings.

Equipped with the latest filtration technology, commercial air cleaners are flexible enough to meet bespoke needs, improving employee safety and ensuring compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health laws in the UK.
A commercial or industrial air cleaning unit solves atmospheric dust problems caused by nearby processes in the workplace. The units run continuously, cleaning and recirculating air to provide a simple solution to potential health hazards. Dust is captured at source by a local dust extraction system, such as an individual AirBench, while any dust or pollutants in the wider area are captured by air cleaning units.
Essential to protect employees from airborne dust particles that can cause health problems, they also protect the products being made and the manufacturing equipment by keeping the air clean. Overall, this creates a safer and more productive working environment, helping to protect the workforce from health issues such as silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other respiratory conditions.
Air cleaners are equipped with advanced filtration technology such as activated carbon filters, HEPA filters, ionic air purification, ozone generators and UV-C light. Specifically designed to handle the needs of large workspaces, they offer a robust performance and high airflow rates.
They work by drawing in the air, passing it through filters to remove pollutants and then recirculating clean air back into the room using a fan and motor. The process can remove dust, mould, bacteria, viruses, smoke and unpleasant odours.
Fixed and portable installations ensure a flexible solution to meet the requirements of each workplace. Environments that commonly require industrial air cleaners include mining, landfill sites, quarrying, sand blasting, processing plants, factories, packaging, fabrication, production lines and more.
AirBench offers a choice of commercial and industrial air cleaners to suit various applications, such as MF units that suck in dirty air containing dust and particles, before filtering it and recirculating clean air.
Our MF2000 and MF3000 air cleaners are compact mobile air-cleaning systems that will capture airborne dust and particulate and return clean air to the workspace. The air is drawn in through a G4 grade pre-filter and passes through a secondary F8 bag filter or H13 final filter, depending on the model. It is expelled from the rear of the unit through an adjustable grille.
Mounted on castors, they are easy to position exactly where needed in the workshop. The MF3000 has a large-capacity final HEPA filter and a higher dust loading capacity, but both require only a single phase supply and come complete with a filter condition indicator to show when the filters require changing.
The AirBench MF600 air cleaners are wall or stand-mounted air cleaning systems that can be placed on shelving, or suspended from ceiling cables, making them highly versatile. Aimed at improving general air cleanliness in your facility, like the MF2000 and MF3000, they also require only a single phase supply and have a filter condition indicator.
Our larger AT air cleaning units are purpose built for environments such as factories and manufacturing facilities, where existing extraction systems are installed, but need help in keeping the air clean. The standalone AT system is ideal for places where large volumes of air must be cleaned continuously.
AirBench AT Airtower cleaning systems are freestanding. Designed to purify indoor air on a large scale, they are ideal for applications where dust or welding fumes are generated and existing extraction leaves residue in the air.
An AT offers additional air cleaning to assist existing systems, running quietly in the background during working hours. It draws contaminated air through the top of the unit, where it passes through two filtration stages. Clean air is returned to the room at a low level.
High capacity cartridges, which can include PTFE coating providing up to H13 HEPA grade filtration, make up the final filters in an AT unit. The filters can be cleaned using compressed air, delivering the dust to a removable tray for simple and safe disposal. Ideal for large fabrication plants, Airtower cleaning systems are also suitable for stone masonry and other similar environments.
